Bhool Chuk Maaf
Bhool Chuk Maaf starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, faced a last-minute change in plans due to a controversy. Initially set to release in theaters on 9 May 2025 - Maddock Films announced it would go directly to Amazon Prime Video, citing sensitivity around the India-Pakistan conflict. 🚧🚨
This decision sparked a lawsuit from PVR Inox which claimed breach of contract and sought damages. 💼⚖️
The controversy led to a heated legal battle but ultimately a settlement was reached. Bhool Chuk Maaf will now release in theaters on 23 May 2025 followed by its streaming debut on Amazon Prime Video on 6 June 2025 just two weeks later. This release plan is a result of a court-directed exception specifically for this film. 📋✅
