African National Congress (ANC) leaders are intensifying their election campaigns as the party makes its final push for support ahead of Wednesday's local government elections.
The party is preparing for its Siyanqoba Rally, scheduled to take place in KuGompo City in the Eastern Cape on Sunday.
ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa is continuing his campaign efforts through door-to-door engagements in Mabopane, outside Pretoria.
Speaking to SABC News during the campaign, Ramaphosa said he did not suspect sabotage behind the country's recurring water supply challenges.
South Africa has experienced widespread water shortages, raising concerns about the impact of service delivery failures on the government's performance ahead of the elections.
However, Ramaphosa dismissed suggestions of deliberate interference, saying he trusted that those responsible for managing the country's water services were carrying out their duties honestly.
The ANC's campaign comes as political parties make their final appeals to voters before South Africans head to the polls next Wednesday.
