Suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya has resigned from the South African Police Service (SAPS) with immediate effect.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe confirmed that Sibiya tendered his resignation after disciplinary proceedings against him had commenced.
Mathe says the resignation was submitted by Sibiya’s legal representative.
