Four people have been arrested in connection with an ongoing fraud and corruption investigation involving several charges.
The suspects were arrested on Tuesday morning at different locations across Gauteng and are expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says the investigation involves allegations of fraudulently acquiring properties in Gauteng using forged documents.
One of the suspects is also accused of obtaining citizenship in the Kingdom of Eswatini using fraudulent documentation.
Mathe says the cases form part of a broader investigation that is still underway.
She says authorities are continuing to gather evidence and establish the full extent of the alleged fraudulent activities.
The suspects are expected to appear in court, where the charges against them will be formally addressed.
