The MK Party has officially expelled Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla and Nhlamulo Ndhlela following months of internal disciplinary action.
The pair were suspended earlier this year over allegations of misconduct. Their expulsion was confirmed by the party on Thursday, with leaders citing behaviour that they say undermined the organisation's values and unity.
In a statement, the party said the two members' recent activity on social media, as well as their conduct at party events, had created confusion among supporters and contributed to divisions within the organisation.
MK Party secretary-general Sibonelo Nomvalo said the decision to expel Zuma-Sambudla and Ndhlela was taken after national officials considered their conduct and its impact on the party.
"The national officials have resolved that Ms Zuma-Sambudla and Mr Nhlamulo Ndhlela have acted in a manner fundamentally inconsistent with the values, discipline, constitutional principles and organisational interests of the MK Party," Nomvalo said.
The expulsion marks the latest development in ongoing tensions within the party, which has faced a number of internal disputes since its formation.
The MK Party has not indicated whether Zuma-Sambudla and Ndhlela will have an opportunity to appeal the decision.
