Police have launched an investigation following an armed robbery at a bakery in the Vhembe District, where four suspects allegedly held employees at gunpoint before fleeing with cash and other stolen items.
According to preliminary reports, the suspects entered the bakery and confronted staff members, threatening them with firearms. One employee was allegedly forced to open the establishment's safe while the robbery unfolded.
Security camera footage captured the incident, showing the armed men demanding money from the employee before accessing the safe.
The suspects reportedly made off with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as additional items taken from the premises.
No injuries were reported during the robbery.
Police are investigating the case and have urged anyone with information that could assist in identifying or locating the suspects to come forward.
