Eight people have died following a devastating bus crash on the N1 near the Witvlag turn-off in Limpopo on Thursday night.
Emergency authorities say 17 passengers sustained moderate injuries, while five others suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The bus was reportedly travelling from Malawi to Gauteng at the time of the crash.
Preliminary investigations indicate that mechanical failure may have caused the accident.
The N1 highway remains closed as emergency personnel and investigators continue working at the scene.
