Bellarmine Mugabe and his co-accused, Tobias Matonhodze, have returned to court in connection with an attempted murder case.
The pair pleaded guilty last week to multiple charges, including the attempted murder of Sipho Mahlangu, who was shot twice in the back.
Both accused have also admitted to being in the country illegally.
During proceedings, the defence was granted additional time to consult with their clients regarding the whereabouts of the firearm used in the shooting, which has not yet been recovered.
The matter has been postponed as investigations continue.
