The reclusive billionaire entrepreneur behind the adult content platform OnlyFans, Leonid Radvinsky, has died at the age of 43 following a battle with cancer, the company confirmed on Monday.

In a statement, an OnlyFans spokesperson said Radvinsky passed away peacefully after a long illness, adding that his family has requested privacy during this time.

“Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer,” the company said.

Born in Odesa and raised in Chicago, Radvinsky was a Ukrainian-American entrepreneur who acquired a 75% stake in Fenix International Limited in 2018, becoming its majority shareholder and director.

Under his leadership, OnlyFans experienced rapid global expansion, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, growing to an estimated 377 million users and 4.6 million content creators worldwide.

The platform generated approximately $1.4 billion in net revenue in 2024, largely through a 20% commission on creator earnings, and had been valued at around $5.5 billion during early-stage sale discussions earlier this year.

Radvinsky, a graduate in economics from Northwestern University, was listed by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index with a net worth of about $3.8 billion as of May last year.

In 2024, he transferred his ownership stake into the LR Fenix Trust.

Beyond OnlyFans, Radvinsky also operated the venture capital fund Leo, established in 2009, which focused on technology investments. He was additionally known for philanthropic contributions, including funding cancer research and supporting open-source initiatives.
