Further revelations are anticipated at the Madlanga Commission in Pretoria, where a Gauteng Organised Crime Unit detective is set to continue his testimony on Monday morning.

Sergeant Fannie Nkosi resumed the witness stand following testimony last week in which he detailed alleged links to members of a criminal cartel, taxi industry figures and senior officials within the City of Tshwane.

Nkosi is expected to conclude his testimony during Monday’s proceedings.

The detective has also provided insight into his involvement in the early stages of the murder investigation of hip-hop artist AKA, whose real name was Kiernan Forbes, and his friend Tebello Motsoane.

During his testimony, Nkosi told the commission that Motsoane was related to taxi tycoon and businessman Mthakathi Mswazi.

Mswazi, who appeared before the commission as a family representative of the late taxi boss Mswazi Msibi, has allegedly been linked to individuals within the criminal underworld.

The commission continues to hear evidence related to organised crime networks and their alleged connections to public officials and the taxi industry.
