An internet outage has disrupted operations at King Shaka International Airport, forcing airport authorities to switch to manual systems.
The Airports Company South Africa confirmed that the disruption on Friday morning affected several automated services, including check-in processes and parking pay stations.
Passengers have been advised to arrive earlier than usual to allow extra time for manual check-in procedures.
ACSA issued an alert indicating that all systems at the airport are currently being operated manually while technicians work to resolve the issue.
Although the cause of the outage remains unclear, the airport authority said teams are working urgently to restore normal operations.
No estimated time has been provided for when internet services will be fully restored.
ACSA has advised passengers to monitor updates and contact their respective airlines for further information. Travellers can also use the ACSA Mobile App or contact the ACSA call centre for assistance.
