Disgraced former Nobuhle Nkabane has been appointed deputy chief whip of the African National Congress (ANC) parliamentary caucus.
Nkabane was dismissed from her role as Minister of Higher Education last July by President Cyril Ramaphosa following allegations that she misled Parliament and irregularly appointed board members to SETAs, favouring ANC-linked politicians and associates.
After her removal from cabinet, Nkabane served as an ordinary member of the Portfolio Committee on Agriculture. She now succeeds Doris Mpapane as Deputy Chief Whip.
