The Polokwane Municipality has confirmed reports of discoloured water affecting several households in Seshego Zone 2, prompting frustration among residents.

A group of unhappy community members gathered outside the Polokwane municipal offices, holding placards and demanding urgent intervention over concerns about water quality and safety.

In a statement, the municipality said water quality tests and technical investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the problem.

Officials added that water tankers have been deployed to the affected areas to provide temporary relief while the issue is being addressed.

The municipality has urged residents to remain patient as teams work to restore normal supply though for many households, patience is running as thin as the taps.
