Eastern Cape police have deployed a team of experienced detectives to track down suspects linked to the fatal shooting of three men near Butterworth.
The bodies of the victims, believed to be between the ages of 35 and 40, were discovered on Tuesday along a dirt road near the Cunningham Bridge in Tholeni Village. Police confirmed that all three men had sustained gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.
The motive for the killings remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
In a statement, Eastern Cape SAPS management said a dedicated investigative team has been assigned to the case and vowed that officers will work tirelessly until those responsible are brought to justice.
A murder case has been opened, and police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
