Emergency services are on the scene of a fatal shooting at a business complex in Pinetown, west of Durban.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says preliminary information suggests the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.
“Reports indicate that the male allegedly produced a firearm and shot the female before turning the weapon on himself,” Jamieson said. “The man has been declared deceased by paramedics, while the woman sustained critical injuries and is receiving urgent medical care.”
Police have cordoned off the area as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
