DJ Warras, who was shot dead in central Johannesburg on Tuesday, had obtained five protection orders prior to his murder, amid ongoing threats to his life.
The protection orders were reportedly issued against occupants of the Zambezi building in the Johannesburg CBD. According to information, the fifth protection order was granted as recently as last week.
The popular DJ had allegedly been receiving death threats in the period leading up to the fatal shooting, raising questions about his safety despite the legal protections in place.
