Police have launched an investigation after two people were killed and three others injured in a shooting at Old Crossroads in Nyanga on the Cape Flats on Thursday night.
According to police spokesperson FC Van Wyk, officers responded to reports of gunfire and found the bodies of a 20-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man inside a house on the property. The three surviving victims were rushed to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle.
Van Wyk said the motive behind the attack remains unclear, and detectives are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
