Two men were shot and killed in Kuyasa, Khayelitsha, on the Cape Flats, sparking a murder investigation by Western Cape police.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg confirmed the victims, aged 30 and 40, were declared dead at the scene by paramedics. According to initial reports, the pair were approached by an unknown gunman who opened fire before fleeing.
“Police members responded to the scene and found both victims with gunshot wounds. They were declared deceased on-site by medical personnel,” said Twigg.
No arrests have been made at this stage, and Harare detectives have opened two counts of murder as investigations continue.
