A couple has been arrested in Bloubergstrand on charges related to the alleged sexual abuse of their two young daughters, aged three and eight.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Amanda van Wyk, the suspects face multiple charges, including rape and sexual grooming. During the arrest, authorities seized several electronic devices believed to contain potential evidence.
The children have been removed from the household and placed in a place of safety under the care of social services.
“The wellbeing of the children is our top priority. They are now in a secure environment while investigations continue,” said Van Wyk.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
