A search and rescue operation is currently underway for a missing light aircraft that vanished during a flight over northern KwaZulu-Natal.
The aircraft, a Piper Cherokee with registration number ZS-KFB, was reported missing after losing all communication on Sunday night. The plane is blue, black, and white in colour, and was last believed to be flying in the vicinity of Greytown, Ladysmith, and Newcastle.
There were three passengers on board at the time of its disappearance.
Emergency teams have been dispatched and are actively combing the region in an effort to locate the aircraft.
