The Amaoti community gathered in large numbers outside the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court as four alleged gang members appeared in connection with a string of violent crimes.
The suspects, arrested over the weekend by the SAPS Inanda Task Team, face serious charges including murder and armed robbery. Authorities believe the group is linked to the killings of nearly 20 Community Policing Forum (CPF) members and at least 10 other individuals over the past year.
Investigations are ongoing, with detectives working to connect the suspects to additional crimes. Police have urged the public to come forward with any unreported cases that may be linked to the suspects.
Their court appearance has drawn sharp attention from local residents, many of whom say they are seeking justice and safety in their community.
