The trial of eight suspects accused of the brutal killing of 18 people in Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape, is set to commence in the Mthatha High Court.
The state has confirmed its readiness to proceed with the case, where the accused face charges of murder and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. The killings, which took place in September last year, claimed the lives of 18 victims, most of whom were women.
