Authorities have recovered stolen diesel in Clairwood after a logistics company in Chatsworth reported fuel theft from one of its trucks at the port.

According to PT Alarms, suspects drained diesel from the vehicle before fleeing the scene in a bakkie. A worker from the company pursued them and provided their location to the PT Alarms ground teams.

Responders, alongside Metro Police led by Captain Logan, tracked the suspects to a small truck yard in Clairwood, where they discovered a container filled with more stolen diesel than initially reported. However, the suspects had already fled by the time officers arrived, and no arrests were made.

Authorities believe arrests are imminent as investigations continue.
