Controversial social media influencers Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have reportedly left Romania, sources confirm to the BBC. The brothers, who face serious criminal charges, are believed to have boarded a private jet around 05:00 local time (03:00 GMT) and are heading toward the United States.

The Tates were arrested in Romania three years ago on allegations of rape, trafficking minors, and money laundering, all of which they have strongly denied. Despite these allegations, prosecutors have confirmed that the brothers' request to leave Romania has been granted, though they remain under active investigation.

Upon their arrival in the United States, the brothers are expected to frame their departure as a significant victory. The Romanian government has faced no pressure from the U.S. to allow the Tates to travel, with Romania's Prime Minister denying any external influence over the decision.

Andrew and Tristan Tate, who hold dual UK-US nationality, have a significant following on right-wing social media platforms. They have also shown support for Donald Trump during his previous election campaign. The ongoing legal battle and their departure are expected to fuel further public attention and debate surrounding their case.
