Load Reductions Affecting Gauteng Residents Throughout the Week

While load shedding remains suspended, Eskom is implementing load reductions during peak morning and evening hours across multiple areas in Gauteng. These power reductions, affecting thousands of residents, will be in place throughout the week, from Monday to Friday, with varying time slots depending on the region.

Monday Schedule

On Monday, two major power reduction periods are scheduled:

  • 5am to 9am: Areas in Block D, including Dhlamini, Klipspruit, Chiawelo, Kagiso, Khutsong, Tsakane, and Langaville.
  • 5pm to 10pm: Block C areas, including parts of Soweto like Zola and Jabulani, Dobsonville, Naledi, and Kopanong, as well as Mabopane and Winterveldt.

Tuesday Schedule

Tuesday morning will see two blocks affected at once:

  • 5am to 9am: Block A, including Garankuwa, Ivory Park, Kaalfontein, Rabie Ridge, and Protea Glen, along with other regions such as Protea South, Westonaria, and Kagiso.
  • 5am to 9am: Block B, covering Meadowlands West, Soweto’s Dube Extension 1, Mofolo-East, Cosmo City, and Diepsloot.
    In the evening, Block J will experience power reductions from 5pm to 10pm, impacting areas like Orange Farm, Sharpeville, Evaton, and Sebokeng.

Wednesday to Thursday Schedules

On Wednesday, Block C will face reductions from 5am to 9am, affecting areas similar to Monday’s evening schedule. In the evening, Block D will be impacted from 5pm to 10pm.
Thursday morning, Block G will experience power reductions from 5am to 9am, affecting a wide range of areas including Tsakane, Klippan, Mabopane, and parts of Soshanguve.

Friday Schedule

On Friday, two blocks will be impacted:

  • 5am to 9am: Block E, including Mapetla, Protea South, Chiawelo, Naledi, and other areas.
  • 9am to 10pm: Block F, which includes Orlando East, Diepkloof, Soweto’s Nomzamo, and Spruit View.

Eskom advises residents to be aware of these scheduled reductions as they may experience power disruptions during these times.
