Three suspects accused of kidnapping a 51-year-old businessman and demanding a R15 million ransom are set to appear in the Louis Trichardt Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo.

The victim, who was abducted in October 2024, was rescued unharmed on Friday after being held captive for 100 days in a house in Nkuzana village.

Police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba confirmed that the suspects were arrested in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and Limpopo. So far, 12 individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the case. The remaining suspects are scheduled to appear in court on March 3 for a bail application.

Authorities are still searching for two more suspects believed to be involved in the kidnapping.
