A three-year-old girl who went missing while walking with her mother in the Westbrook area on Wednesday morning has been safely reunited with her family.
IPSS Search & Rescue Tongaat received the report just after 10:30 a.m. and immediately dispatched teams to the area. Members from Mobi-Claw, Tongaat SAPS, and Umhlali SAPS K9 Search & Rescue also joined the search efforts.
In under an hour, the child was located some distance from where she was last seen. She was unharmed and was promptly examined by IPSS Medical Rescue before being returned to her relieved mother.
Special thanks were extended to the Westbrook Service Station for assisting the mother and promptly reporting the incident, as well as to all responders for their swift action in ensuring the child's safe return.
