The family of a school principal tragically gunned down outside his Mpumalanga Township home has expressed deep grief over the loss of a beloved family member. Busani Khomo, 57, was shot and killed last Thursday while sitting in his car outside Sikhethuxolo High School in Hammarsdale.

Police have yet to determine a motive for the murder, leaving the family searching for answers.

Mvunga Khomo, Busani's brother, described the loss as devastating, saying his sibling was a "pillar of strength" for their family. "I’m shattered by my brother’s death," Mvunga said. "He was a very quiet person, but his actions would always surprise us. He was always available to help, not just within our family but even outside it. I can’t even explain how helpful he was."

The family, still in shock, is now focused on seeking justice for Busani. "I would like for authorities to do their job, so that my brother can get justice," Mvunga said. "However, right now, my focus is on preparing for his funeral on Saturday."

As investigations continue, the community remains on edge, hoping for answers to what led to the principal’s untimely death.
