A fire has destroyed two structures in the Modderfontein area of Rustenburg, North West, with no injuries reported. Firefighting efforts are ongoing as authorities work to contain the blaze.
Acting Rustenburg Local Municipality spokesperson Odirile Madiba stated that the cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations are underway.
“The fire is under control, but strong winds could worsen the situation. The fire department will continue to monitor the area, and updates will be provided throughout the day,” Madiba said.
