The trial of Enoch Ndou, accused of multiple murders, is set to resume on Thursday at the Thohoyandou High Court, sitting in Waterval near Louis Trichardt, Limpopo. Ndou faces charges related to the 2021 Christmas Day shooting in which seven of his relatives were killed in Jimmy Jones village, Malamulele. The killings are alleged to have been motivated by a family dispute over an inheritance.
The trial was initially scheduled to continue on Monday but was postponed due to the unavailability of Ndou’s lawyer, Kagiso Muthithivhi, who was involved in another case. With Muthithivhi now available, proceedings will resume, and the state is expected to continue presenting its case.
Prosecutors have indicated that approximately 10 witnesses will be called to testify against Ndou during the course of the trial.
