Repairs to the burst pipe at Canehaven are still underway, with the process in its early stages, according to recent updates from Councilor’s office and Pastor Mervin Reddy. Due to the significant damage, the repairs are expected to extend over the next few days.
As a result, Phoenix Reservoir 2 has been shut down, leading to a disruption in water supply for all areas serviced by this reservoir. In response, water tankers have been deployed to assist affected areas. However, please be aware that the PCCA does not manage the distribution of these tankers.
Residents are advised to make alternative arrangements for water and to conserve any available supply. The ongoing issues with water supply from Durban Heights may also affect other reservoirs in Phoenix, potentially leading to reduced water availability.
