A notorious murder suspect, linked to 17 murders and an attempted murder, was killed in a shootout with police in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday morning. The suspect was tracked down to a house in Mariannhill, where he attempted to evade arrest by opening fire on officers.
The operation, which involved multiple tracking teams, including the Hawks anti-gang unit and local police, resulted in the suspect's death. A rifle was recovered at the scene.
