Ramaphosa underscored the central role of trade in the relationship between China and South Africa, stating, “We are grateful that a number of your companies have been playing a role in improving our energy system in South Africa. We want to encourage your companies to do much more in South Africa. One of the key areas in which we have focused on reforms is our energy and electricity sector.”
