IPSS Medical Rescue responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident on the N2 between Ballito and Shakas Rock.
Paramedics arrived to find a collision between a truck and a bakkie. Tragically, the bakkie driver sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on the scene.
The two occupants of the truck suffered serious injuries. One was stabilized by an IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support paramedic and transported to a medical facility for further treatment. The second occupant was treated and transported by another service.
The cause of the accident will be investigated by the police.
