Please be advised that the Operations Water Network Team has encountered a significant burst on the Northern Aqueduct pipeline at D-Newlands. This morning, an emergency burst occurred, necessitating the isolation of a section of the pipeline on the main Northern Aqueduct for repairs. While most reservoir outlets were opened this morning, the teams will be closing reservoir outlets to prevent the reservoir levels from reaching critically low levels.
The stabilization of the Northern Aqueduct system will commence as soon as the repairs have been completed this afternoon.
