LATEST NEWS: THREE HIJACKING SUSPECTS KILLED IN HIGHFLATS SHOOTOUT
Three individuals were fatally shot in a confrontation with law enforcement in Highflats, located in the southwestern region of KwaZulu-Natal.
According to provincial police, officers intervened with a vehicle that had been unlawfully taken in Umzinto on the southern coast earlier this week.
The driver was instructed to halt, but the individuals inside the vehicle chose to open fire at the police instead.
Consequently, the officers fatally shot three of the suspects in the ensuing exchange of gunfire.
Subsequently, a fourth suspect was apprehended, and two firearms were seized from the vehicle.
