Investigations are continuing into the KwaMakhutha mass shooting in KwaZulu-Natal, in which 11 people were killed last month.
The incident occurred in the Ziko area when unknown gunmen reportedly entered a property and opened fire on a group of 14 people.
A pregnant woman was among those killed in the attack.
Residents have raised concerns about alleged drug-related problems in the community, telling KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli that the mass shooting should not be viewed as an isolated incident.
Ntuli says the concerns raised by residents will be thoroughly investigated.
He says experienced police investigators have been assigned to the case as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify those responsible.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police yet to announce any arrests in connection with the attack.
