Former Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) head Advocate Andrea Johnson is set to be summoned back to the Madlanga Commission following the emergence of fresh allegations against her.

The development was announced during proceedings on Thursday morning, with the commission revealing that additional serious allegations had been made against Johnson.

A formal notice is expected to be issued compelling Johnson to return to the witness stand and respond to the allegations.

The claims are expected to emerge during the testimony of IDAC state advocate Drushantha Ramsamy, who is currently appearing before the commission.

The commission received an electronic statement from Ramsamy on Wednesday, ahead of his testimony.

Johnson completed six days of evidence before the commission on Wednesday, following an extensive period on the witness stand.

The nature of the new allegations has not yet been disclosed and is expected to be addressed during Ramsamy’s testimony.

This is a developing story.
