Six learners accused of bullying and assaulting a Grade 10 learner from Milnerton High School are expected to appear before the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Two of the accused will appear in the juvenile court as they are minors.
Each of the six learners faces eight counts of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The accused were previously granted bail of R2,000, while the two minors were released into the care of their parents.
The incident allegedly took place in October last year.
A video that circulated widely on social media at the time appears to show the victim being beaten with various objects, including a hockey stick.
