An elderly voter has died after reportedly collapsing while waiting in a voting queue in Shallcross, Ward 72, on Wednesday.
The voter was rushed to hospital following the incident but later succumbed.
KwaZulu-Natal Electoral Commission Provincial Electoral Officer Ntombifuthi Masinga expressed her condolences to the deceased's family on Thursday.
The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been disclosed.
