The Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU) has obtained a restraint order targeting assets worth an estimated R99 million linked to Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni and his alleged associates.

The assets are reportedly linked to allegations of organised crime and extortion involving Sibanyoni and the individuals associated with him.

The restraint order covers several properties, including luxury golf estate properties in Centurion and high-end houses in Centurion and Pretoria.

It also targets a collection of luxury vehicles, including Ferraris, a Porsche, a Lexus, Mercedes-Benz vehicles and BMWs.

Under the order, Sibanyoni and his alleged associates are required to surrender multiple bank accounts and investments to a court-appointed curator.

The restraint order seeks to preserve the assets while the legal process continues.
