Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the possession of property believed to belong to murdered jogger Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo.

The 38-year-old was found murdered in Kempton Park on 12 September after leaving her home in Rhodesfield for an afternoon run.

Her killing sparked national outrage and renewed calls for greater protection for women amid ongoing concerns about gender-based violence in South Africa.

The suspects were allegedly found in possession of property believed to have been stolen from Moselakgomo.

The arrests were made over the weekend by the Commission’s Recommendations Task Team.

The circumstances surrounding the arrests and whether the suspects are linked directly to Moselakgomo’s murder remain unclear.

The story is developing.
