Former SABC sports presenter and music rights activist Owen Ndlovu has been found dead following a hijacking and kidnapping in Katlehong on Gauteng’s East Rand.
Ndlovu’s family confirmed his death in a statement released on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, Ndlovu was attacked on Tuesday night while he was fetching his wife from church in Katlehong.
Police say three men, one of whom was armed with a firearm, confronted Ndlovu before driving away with him.
His body was discovered by residents in Thokoza on Wednesday morning.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping and subsequent death.
The motive for the killing and whether anything was taken during the hijacking have not yet been established.
