Police are investigating after another woman’s body was reportedly discovered in Kwa-Thema, Springs, east of Johannesburg.

The latest discovery brings the number of women’s bodies found across the Ekurhuleni municipal area to six over the past two months.

The discovery comes a day after the body of another woman was found in Olifantsfontein, near Kempton Park, on Monday.

Police say two of the five women whose bodies have been discovered in the Kempton Park area are still unidentified.

Some of the victims were reportedly found partially clothed and with visible bruising, raising concerns about the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

One of the women has been identified as 38-year-old Elizabeth Moselakgomo, a runner who was reported missing last week after going for a run in the area.

Investigations are continuing to establish whether there are any links between the cases and to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
