The Wentworth Community Policing Forum is appealing to residents to come forward with any information that could help police investigate the killing of a young pregnant woman.
Tamia Fredericks, who lived in Newlands East, was visiting the area last week when she was allegedly shot in the head by a man who then fled the scene.
Police have not made any arrests in connection with the killing. Investigators are working to establish the motive behind the attack.
The Wentworth CPF says the incident is not the first case in which a woman has been killed in a similar manner in the area.
The CPF is urging anyone with information that could assist the investigation to report it to police.
Fredericks’ family has requested privacy as they mourn her death and lay her to rest.
