Two suspects wanted in connection with a double murder have been killed during a shootout with police and other law enforcement agencies in Verulam, north of Durban.
The incident occurred in the eMhlasini area on Thursday morning, when officers tracked the suspects to a hideout.
According to authorities, a gunfight broke out after the suspects were cornered, leading to both being fatally wounded.
Police confirmed that two firearms were recovered at the scene.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
