The body of 57-year-old Rajankumar “Boya” Sew has been recovered in Aquadene, KwaZulu-Natal, following the arrest of two suspects linked to his disappearance.
Sew was reported missing on Tuesday after failing to return home to Brackenham in Richards Bay. He was last seen leaving his residence around 10:30am, driving a white Toyota Avanza and heading to the Brackenham Clinic.
Police initially opened a case of kidnapping and hijacking after a ransom demand was made. The investigation took a significant turn when officers in Jozini located Sew’s vehicle and arrested two suspects.
Information obtained during questioning led authorities to a bushy area in Aquadene on Thursday, where Sew’s body was discovered.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) confirmed that Sew had been brutally murdered and his body dumped.
Police investigations are ongoing.
