The South African Police Service (SAPS) has announced a R60,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Zamani Ngila Ximba, the final suspect wanted in connection with the murder of Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) Deputy Chief Whip, Khethamabala Sithole.

Sithole was gunned down on 31 May 2025 at the Buyafuthi Hostel in Katlehong. Two other individuals were injured in the attack, which police are investigating as an orchestrated act of violence.

Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo described Ximba as tall, dark in complexion, and armed and extremely dangerous.

Two co-accused have already been apprehended and are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates' Court on Thursday for their bail application.

Police are appealing to the public for any credible information that could lead to Ximba’s capture. Anyone who may have information is urged to contact Major General Mbuso Khumalo on 082 556 8642 or Captain Abe Montoedi on 082 461 4794.

Authorities have reiterated that all information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
