Police have confirmed that three minors have come forward, admitting to involvement in the fire that devastated Riverlea High School, destroying 11 classrooms in the process.
The blaze, which caused extensive damage, has severely disrupted teaching and learning at the school. Some grades are now being taught in mobile classrooms, while temporary sanitation facilities have been installed to accommodate the displaced learners.
Due to the ages of the alleged perpetrators, authorities are proceeding with caution. Legal and child welfare protocols must be carefully followed in determining the appropriate course of action, as investigations continue.
