SASSA beneficiaries using gold cards can breathe a sigh of relief—those cards will remain valid until further notice.
This comes as the South African Social Security Agency confirms that the planned rollout of black SASSA cards has been temporarily suspended. As a result, all card replacement sites have ceased operations.
Beneficiaries are advised to continue using their gold cards as usual, and no immediate action is required. SASSA has not yet provided a timeline for when the black card distribution will resume.
